The Belarusian State Academic Honoured Choreographic Ensemble ‘Khoroshki’ Orchestra
The Belarusian State Academic Honoured Choreographic Ensemble ‘Khoroshki’ is a living legend of the Belarusians. The ensemble was created in 1974 at the Belarus State Philharmonic by choreographers Valentina Gaeva and Nikolai Dudchenko.
The name of the ensemble came from the name of an old Belarusian village in the Mogilev region. The collective of the ensemble ‘Khoroshki’ unites dance and vocal-instrumental groups. The orchestra's arsenal includes classical and modern musical instruments: clarinet, flute, violin, viola, accordion, harmonica, bass guitar, drum kit. The lyre, hudok, basetla, ocarina, jaleiki, kmeny give a unique national sound of the orchestra. These musical instruments were collected and recreated for the first time in Belarus thanks to the ensemble ‘Khoroshki’.
