Mikhail Totskii Ensemble

Members of this ensemble graduated from the Petrozavodsk State Conservatory. They work in their own projects as well as in different Russian music bands. In the repertoire of the ensemble there is various music of different genres.

The idea of the project “Midday in Paris” belongs to Mikhail Totskii – an Honoured Artist of the Republic of Karelia, a soloist of the Karelian Philharmonic, a conductor of the Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra Onego, a founder of the tango-ensemble Companeros, laureate of a quantity of Russian and international competitions and festivals. Mikhail Totskii is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist, who plays the bayan, the bandoneon and the accordion. His musical projects are always a “sold-out” in the Karelian Philharmonic.

Members of this festival project are Anatolii Palaev (a soloist of the Philharmonic, a pianist and a music arranger, a founder and an art-director of the ensemble A-Jazz) and old friends of the Philharmonic Miroslav Volodin (double bass player from Saint-Petersburg) and Arkadii Sokolov (percussion player).
