Karelia-Brass Ensemble

The ensemble of brass instruments Karelia-Brass was created in 1973 by the legendary Karelian trumpet player, orchestrator and professor of the Glazunov Petrozavodsk State Conservatory Leonid Budanov.  Almost immediately it turned into a symbol of musical Karelia. Since that time the ensemble has been actively touring the cities of Russia and abroad. The repertoire includes music of different genres, epochs and styles: ancient, classical, modern, avant-garde and jazz.

The ensemble includes the Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia Ruslan Devlikamov (trumpet), Alexander Kazarin (trumpet), the Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia Valery Sorokin (horn), Anatoly Kamenev (trombone), laureate of international competitions Alexander Kostrov (tuba) and the Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia Valery Bobkov play in Karelia-Brass
