"L'Esprit du Vent" Ensemble

L'Esprit du Vent was founded in 2006 at the initiative of Philip Nodel and his colleagues, who are passionate about performance containing historical information. Most of the members of the ensemble are soloists of the best Russian ensembles and are constantly collaborating with the leading orchestra of historical instruments Pratum Integrum.

\r\n

The main idea of L'Esprit du Vent is to promote music for wind instruments from the late seventeenth century to the present day, using original instruments or authentic replicas of them, corresponding to the time of the works being performed. The composition of the ensemble varies from two to fifteen performers depending on the programme. Concert performances combine music by popular composers as well as lesser-known composers, providing audiences with the most complete musical picture of the time of the programmes being performed.
