String quartet is a Karelian State Philharmonic Ensemble. The quartet includes the laureate of international contests Anastasia Terekhova (violin), Evgenia Davydenko (violin), laureate of international contests Denis Dorofeev (alto) and Olga Dorofeeva (cello). All artists are the soloists of the Karelian State Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.
String quartet was created in 2010 and since then it is a regular participant of philharmonic concerts, performs in chamber concerts and festivals, conducts active musical and educational activity, tours the cities of Karelia. The creative range of the ensemble is very wide. In its repertoire there are quartet music from Haydn and Beethoven to Shostakovich and Ligeti, compositions by Russian and Karelian composers, processing of classical and popular music for a string quartet. The quartet cooperates with the soloists of the Karelian State Philharmonic. Each member of the quartet performs solo and as part of other chamber ensembles.
